Too Big To Miss! Part 2

A very busy mom

Our favorite cake

Lovely dahlias

After Sarah went home, Al and I wandered through the Commercial exhibits and then met with our kids for dinner. After dinner we enjoyed a bit of the rodeo, visited the poultry barns, laughed at the crazy little piglets, and marveled at the really talented people who make amazing quilts or take incredible photographs or paint lovely pictures or decorate gorgeous cakes cakes. No matter how updated the fair tries to be, it's always fun to check out the blue ribbons hanging off all the hand crafted items. At 10:00pm we all headed home after a fun day...a little sad that the fair is over, a little sad that summer is over but happy to have carried on our yearly tradition of a day at the Oregon Sate Fair.

Lori Jane, your hair is so cute it makes you look quite young my dear!

Now, why are you wearing a blue top in front of the flowers and a lovely green and white in the other state fair photos? Non essential details - just wondering!

I really wanted to go to the fair this year with you guys but once again didn't make it down for various reasons. I got talked into entering some art in the county fair. The other ladies from the Seaside Sew 'n Sews entered quilts and other sewing pieces. They all decided to do it this year b/c one of them is a judge and has lots to do with the fair. She talked us into it. Ha ha talk about small town!

Sorry you won't be working with Patty. You two enjoy each other so much.

Good to catch up!

Love ya,
